Chelsea was 20 weeks pregnant when she and her fiancé Taylor were given devastating and terrifying news. Their baby had a Cystic Hygroma, a fluid-filled sac resulting from a blockage in the lymphatic system. They had never heard of it before and the following months were an extremely worrying time. Chelsea had a C-section and finally gave birth to her daughter, Eden, who was rushed to intensive care. The couple were beyond relieved that her baby had survived the birth but Eden’s arrival marked the beginning of an extremely emotional journey for the whole family. I helped @alittlepieceofeden_ share her story in Take a Break magazine to raise awareness of the condition. Though I’ve never met Chelsea, I know from talking to her that she is a truly inspirational woman who shows an incredible amount of love, determination and courage. Eden might not know it yet but she is lucky to have her, just as Chelsea is lucky to have such a gorgeous little fighter.
